The Silver Anniversary Ensemble

New to REP this season is the creation of the ENSEMBLE. An outgrowth of the company's commitment to the ensemble ethic and out strategic planning, this group of artists represents the many facets of the Triangle.

*Diversity abounds within this talented and committed Family: Asian-American, Latino, African American, Gay and Lesbian, and Disability communities are represented; members are as young as 16 and range in experience levels from high school programs to seasoned laymen to individuals with advanced or terminal degrees in the art form.

* The ENSEMBLE meets once every three months to share and celebrate each other's accomplishments, as we strongly encourage all members to work with other companies. During this time, we offer free specialized training for our artists. Thus far, sessions have included unarmed stage combat, vocal warm-up and production, and phonetics. Additionally, our gatherings include brief business sessions, bringing the members up to speed on the company's fiscal status, fundraising and volunteer opportunities, and other events associated with the day to day operations of the company.

* Our Goal: to grow our investment in the artists - beyond simply paying them for their work on a particular production - so they in turn will grow their investment in REP and benefit the entire Triangle theatre community by providing tools the artists can use in all of their work.
